Research Volunteer / Intern

Earthsight Investigations is looking for a part-time volunteer/intern to assist with investigative research and planning. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop a new organisation, gain research and investigative skills and experience or use your existing skills in a new environment. You might be a graduate or masters student seeking relevant experience, or a retiree from a relevant field wishing to share their experience in a non-profit environment. The volunteer will carry out in-depth research & assist in developing investigations on areas such as the smuggling of electronic waste, the illegal trade in small arms, and offshore finance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have research experience, computer skills, excellent english language writing skills and preferably a relevant university degree. Especially desirable are additional skills in foreign languages, web design, video and photography, journalism/investigative work and GIS. The position requires a commitment to at least 3 days a week and will be based at our offices in Kentish Town. Home-working can be considered for those able to provide their own computer equipment.
